Franklin Theater Downtown Tennessee Photography landmark Canvas Metal Print Bedroom wall art poster Williamson County
The Franklin Theater first opened its doors in 1937 but finally closed in 2007 due to rising rents and the deteriorating building. Non Profits and the county donated $8 million to restore it and 3 years later re-opened, now offering frequent live music events on top of being a movie theater.
The town of Franklin is particularly sentimental to me, as it is where, at the age of 20, I sold my very first canvas print and that event launched my career as an artist.
My camera battery was down to 1% when I turned my camera on to take this picture, but fortunately I was able to get it in one shot! The golden-orange streaks are from a car driving past during the 30 second long exposure!
